Do you use essential oils or fragrance oils in your soaps?
Essential oils come straight from plants and capture their natural scent and properties. Fragrance oils, on the other hand, are expertly blended in a lab to create consistent, long-lasting aromas. Depending on the particular scent, our soaps may contain either. Regardless of the type, every fragrance we use is carefully formulated without parabens, sulfates, or unnecessary fillers.
Are the colorants in your soaps natural?
Our soaps get their color from micas, naturally occurring minerals that are finely ground to create rich, shimmering tones. These mineral pigments give each bar its vibrant look without the use of synthetic dyes or artificial colorants.
What is the organic "Palm Done Right" oil ingredient?
"Palm Done Right" refers to a movement and the resulting palm oil that is produced ethically and sustainably through organic practices, while ensuring fair wages, community support, and environmental protection. This contrasts with conventional palm oil production, which often involves deforestation and harmful chemicals. The initiative aims to prove that palm oil can be grown for good by adhering to strict standards like being 100% organic, deforestation-free, wildlife-friendly, fully traceable, and fair to the social communities involved.
If lye is a harsh chemical, why is it used in soap?
Sodium Hydroxide (lye) is a chemical, and it’s essential to the soapmaking process. When lye is mixed with oils or fats, it triggers a reaction called saponification, which transforms those ingredients into soap and glycerin. In a correctly made cold process soap, like ours, no lye remains in the finished bar. It’s completely neutralized during saponification, leaving behind a safe, gentle, and nourishing soap.
Why would I switch to bar soap from body wash?
I Gotta Buddy soaps differ from typical store-bought washes by using skin-loving natural ingredients, rich moisture, and a formula that’s kind to all skin types. They skip the harsh detergents and overpackaged waste of mass-market brands, focusing instead on sustainability, small-batch craftsmanship, and signature scents made from both natural and clean synthetic oils. Can I use your soaps on my hair like shampoo?
Our cold process soaps are not specifically formulated or labeled as a "shampoo bar." Bar soap is alkaline (typically pH 9-10), while a scalp is usually more acidic (around pH4.5-5.5). We always recommend testing a small area first to see how it suits your individual needs in the area(s) you want to use it.
How long can I store bar soap without using it?
Bar soap generally does not expire, however the scent will start to fade after about 1 year. Soap itself can last a long time, often well beyond its expected shelf life if it’s kept clean and dry. However, once water, dirt, or bacteria get introduced, it can spoil much more quickly. Keeping your soap in a dry, ventilated spot helps it stay fresh and effective.
What are your shirts made of?
Offered in a variety of different colors, I Gotta Buddy™ T-shirts are made from 100% preshrunk USA cotton. Our sweatshirts are made from a 50/50 blend of cotton and polyester.
Where are your shirts assembled?
While the actual shirt blanks we use come pre-assembled from a Central American country such as Honduras, Nicaragua, Haiti, and the Dominican Republic, our I Gotta Buddy™ illustrations, tags, and logos are designed and applied onto the shirts in the USA.
What size shirt should I order?
Always check our sizing chart first before ordering! Although we offer a range from Small to 5XL, measuring your chest and comparing it to the chart is the safest bet.
Will my shirt shrink in the wash?
There is a common belief that preshrunk shirts will never shrink in the wash. This, unfortunately, is not true. Preshrunk shirts can, and sometimes will, shrink in the wash. Natural fibers like cotton tend to shrink if washed or dried at high temperatures. Always follow care labels!
What if I don't like a shirt or it doesn't fit correctly?
You have 30 days to decide if you wish to return an item. Please refer to our Refund Policy for more details on how to return or exchange and item.
Do you have a storefront I can visit?
Although it is a goal for us in the future to physically showcase our product line to the general public, we currently do not operate any retail locations.
Can I expedite my order?

What is the current status of my order?

Can I change an order that's already been placed?
Once an order is submitted it will be processed immediately, as such, we may not be able to make any changes. If we are unable to make any changes before your order ships, we will gladly assist you with a return or exchange once you receive it.

What if a product I ordered arrives defective or damaged?
While we strive to ensure quality control of our product line before it is shipped out to you, sometimes we can overlook a defect in materials or workmanship. Please review to our guide on Damaged/Defective Items before requesting an exchange.

I Gotta Buddy™ E-gift Cards are non-refundable but do not expire.
Promotion codes can't be applied toward the purchase of gift cards, sales tax, or shipping costs.
How long does shipping usually take?
Depending upon the facility from which your order ships and the shipping destination of your order, items can arrive anywhere from 5 – 20 business days.
